About Me

Hi.

My name is Kassie and this is my blog! A little about me... I am a recent Miss turned Mrs. and have two precious furbabies named Lady and Lucy.  My hubby and I both work full time (I offered to be a stay-at-home mom for our furbabies... he didn't think that was funny) and our little family lives in a midsize two bedroom apartment.

I am a pinterest addict specializing in cooking, house keeping, and organizing.  However, don't be fooled into thinking that I am just a doting house wife.  The truth is that I really don't enjoy cleaning (who does!?) and I am just a hot mess 99% of the time.  I have almost no creativity for household decorating and living in an apartment makes things a little more complicated. 

That being said... the reason I started this blog was because I think there are many more people out there just like me.  I long for my home to be a cozy space we can enjoy, an uncluttered atmosphere (difficult for two people living in a small apartment ), and a clean and tidy environment without cleaning for any more than 30 minutes at a time.  

There are a TON of great blogs out there about housekeeping and wifey/motherly things. I mean...  these ladies are pros.  However, most of them are stay-at-home moms with kids and a large family to feed.  Of course they are pros... it's their job! I would love to spend hours putting together a decorative binder with all of our family/pet information as well as keep track of bills, recipes, car maintenance  etc. but the truth is that I would probably only use that binder once or twice before deciding I don't have the time or motivation to keep up with everything on paper (I actually know that I would... because that is exactly what happened).  

Some of my goals:

• The home will always be "presentable"... eliminate the mad rush of frantically cleaning before guests arrive.
• The home will be beautiful... we will decorate effectively (can anyone say... storage space?)  for an apartment while staying on a budget.
• I will be at peace... being more organized means more time for the things you love.
